Even more unique enemies appear in the puzzle platformer spin-off Hey! Pikmin on 3DS. There are also plenty more boss-tier enemies beyond Emperor and Empress Bulborb, from the snake-bodied and bird-headed Burrowing Snagret to Pikmin 3's almost alien Plasm Wraith. I really am not much of a gambler and prefer not to order one sight unseen for full suggested retail. I called two of the larger stores in my area and neither one had any knowledge of the gun.
Other common enemies include the near-invincible Breadbugs, element-spewing Blowhogs, and renditions of real-world creatures like tadpoles, butterflies, and beetles. Early last week they were offering the Escort 22 LR for 160something shipped. and variations including Emperor and Empress bosses, they are not the only enemies that explorers like Olimar have encountered. Though the red Bulborb is an icon of the franchise, with representation in Super Smash Bros. The most recognizable of these are red with white spots, reminiscent of the same amanita muscaria toadstools that inspired Super Mario's mushroom power-up, yet the Bulborb family comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Still sad they never got the original VA back (either for this added content or the terrible sequel which didn't have everyone).Bulborb are the most common enemy on PNF-404, being odd bipedal creatures with stalk eyes and bulbous backsides. The extras in the store (steel case, stickers, etc) are a nice bonus but probably not worth picking up on its own and certainly not worth hassling with their store to do so. I can only assume they are still referring to the Gamecube version when they make that comment. I find it funny they call this a "remaster" touting "improved graphics" when I don't see anything different (look at the character textures). Or that BandaiNamco would release a version like that.
I wish someone would make a definitive version mod with the 60fps + other content (ala BetterWindWaker or Majora's Mask Restoration), maybe use the Gamecube version as a base (instead of trying to get 60fps in the PS2 version).
I bought the PS3 version and the PC version, it's nice to have the additional content. This is one of my favorite games but I'm not sure I want to support this release.
