To make the Sutra more accessible, Zhaxi Zhuoma RInpoche added the headings and index and eliminated the footnotes that can be found in the original English translation. Kumarajava also eliminated much of the repetitious material that was included in earlier Sanskrit versions. Kumàrajãva translated the title "Vajracchedikà-prajnàpàramità (Diamond-Cutting Perfection of Wisdom) Sutra" as simply "Vajraprajnàpàramità Sutra." The Tibetan translations usually refer to this sutra as the " Diamond Cutter Sutra," emphasizing that it can even cut through the hardest of all substances.
